To get to the pantry, please enter the neighborhood at 42nd and Marinda Street.

Directions: From 42nd Street, turn west onto Marinda Street. There will be volunteers and signs to guide you along Marinda to 45th Street. Turn right onto 45th Street, right again onto Frances Street, and left (north) into the Hanscom Park Church parking lot.

Format: This will be a drive-thru food pantry where guests picking up food are asked to stay in their vehicles. You will complete a short registration form from your vehicle, and volunteers will load food into your vehicle.

Who We Serve: Everyone who needs food is welcome. There is no pre-registration or proof eligibility required. We anticipate high demand and appreciate your patience as we do our best to serve each family.

  • No. We will ask you to complete a short registration form when you arrive but we do not check IDs.

  • No. There is no preregistration, and food is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

  • Yes! You are welcome to bring your child(ren) with you and have them wait with you until it’s your turn to get food.

  • Please follow the signs and directions from our volunteers. From 42nd Street, go west on Marinda Street, north on 45th Street and follow signs to enter the church parking lot. All traffic will enter the parking lot from the south entrance on Frances and exit to the west.

    Please stay in your vehicle throughout the distribution. You will complete a short registration form from your vehicle, and volunteers will bring your food to you and load it into your vehicle.

    Because we expect high demand, please be prepared to wait in your car. We appreciate your patience as our volunteers work to safely serve each household.

  • This is a drive-thru food pantry and you do not need to park. Please remain in your vehicle and follow signs and directions from from volunteers. Volunteers will load food in your car, and as a reminder, we ask that you enter the neighborhood from 42nd and Marinda Street.

  • The closest is 1 block north of us at 45th & Center. The next closest is at 44th and Center.

  • With the drive-thru format each household will receive a pre-selected set of pantry staples and fresh produce.

    The food we’re providing in October has been chosen with Latin American cooking and food traditions in mind, but everyone is welcome to receive food.

    Each household will receive:

    • Cooking oil

    • Maseca corn flour

    • All-purpose flour

    • Dry pinto beans

    • Rice

    • Dried chilis

    • Salt

    • Fresh produce, including carrots, garlic, fruit and other items

  • That’s how we started in 2022, but as of 2024 we are 501c3 that operates independently without an official religious affiliation. Several churches support our mission with donations and volunteers, and Hanscom Park United Methodist Church is generous to donate space for us to operate.

  • We currently host distributions quarterly, and they are typically in March or April, June, September, and December.

  • You can register to volunteer here. We usually have several volunteers who get food from the pantry.
